One person has sustained serious injuries in another multi-vehicle crash on the Ofankor–Pokuase stretch of the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, August 19, and involved four vehicles — a VIP bus, a military vehicle, a Toyota Vitz and a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
No fatalities were recorded, but the injured person was rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
The crash has, however, caused heavy traffic congestion on the Kumasi-bound lanes, leaving motorists stuck in significant delays.
The latest incident comes less than a week after a separate crash on the same stretch claimed 12 lives and left several others injured.
The recurring accidents have renewed concerns about road safety on the busy Ofankor–Pokuase corridor.
