Ghana Embassy in Doha Issues Urgent Shelter-in-Place Advisory Following Missile Attack and Rising Regional Tensions

The Embassy of Ghana, Doha has issued a security advisory urging all Ghanaians living in Qatar to remain indoors and take shelter until further notice following heightened tensions in the region.

In an official release dated February 28, 2026, the Embassy cited a recent missile attack and its impact in Doha as the basis for the alert. It advised Ghanaian nationals to rely only on verified and official sources for updates and information.

The Embassy further urged citizens to stay away from military sites, avoid crowded areas, and minimise unnecessary movement to reduce exposure to potential danger. Ghanaians were also encouraged to keep essential supplies, including medication and food, readily available.
