The member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency Stephen Amoah has criticized the NDC government for not having knowledge about its flagship program; the 24-hour Economy and its implementation.
Debating on the floor of Parliament on Thursday, Febuary 5, after the 24-hour Economy Authority Bill 2025 was read in the house the second time by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Dominic Ayine, the Nhyiaeso MP “said the NDC government has no strategic plan for the implementation of the 24-hour Economy”. “The policy is a good initiative but the NDC government has no idea about what they want to do”.
Debunking the comments from Hon. Stephen Amoah, Minister of Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza said “the 24 hour Economy has already been implemented”. He however encouraged members from the other side of the house to support the bill..
The government’s ambitious 24-Hour Economy Program, is a transformative strategy aimed at unlocking productivity, creating jobs, and building a resilient and self-reliant economy through round-the-clock economic activities.
