Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed as false a recruitment letter circulating widely on social media, cautioning the public to disregard the document and avoid falling prey to potential scams.
In a press statement issued on January 23, 2026, the Service clarified that it has not commenced any recruitment exercise for 2026, contrary to claims made in the viral letter. GES described the document as entirely fake and not issued by the Service.
According to the statement, management noted that the letter, which purports to announce the start of a recruitment drive, is a fabrication and should not be relied upon for any official purpose.
GES further emphasized that all legitimate recruitment announcements will be communicated solely through its official channels, including verified platforms and statements released by the Service’s Public Relations Unit.
The Service has therefore urged the general public, particularly job seekers, to exercise caution, verify information from credible sources, and ignore any recruitment-related messages that do not originate from GES’s authorized communication outlets.
GES reiterated its commitment to keeping the public informed and assured that updates on any future recruitment exercise will be duly announced through the appropriate channels.
