
Three persons have been remanded by the Obuasi Circuit Court over an alleged violent attack and unlawful damage at the Obuasi Senior High Technical School, with proceedings adjourned to August 17.
Kwasi Brefo, alias Allah, Appiah Arthur Joseph, also known as Nana Appiah, and Desmond Owusu are facing charges of abetment of crime in connection with causing harm and unlawful damage.
According to the prosecution, the suspects allegedly aided others, currently at large, to assault Abdul Zakari with cutlasses and sticks, causing him harm.
They are also accused of aiding in the destruction of property.

The incident occurred on August 5, 2026, following tensions on the Obuasi SHS campus.
Some students had accused the headmaster of involvement in alleged ritual activities and also made allegations of inappropriate relationships with female students.
The accused persons remain in custody pending the next court sitting.
