DCE, Chiefs Cut Sod for 24-Hour Economy Market at Gomoa Afransi

The Gomoa Central District Assembly, in collaboration with traditional authorities, has cut sod for the construction of a 24-hour economy market at Gomoa Afransi in the Central Region.

Addressing the gathering, the District Chief Executive, Hackman Kobina Aidoo, said the project is expected to significantly boost local economic activities and improve livelihoods. He noted that the initiative fulfills a campaign promise made by the President to the people of the area.

Mr. Aidoo disclosed that the market project will be supported by key social and security infrastructure, including a school, a clinic, a police post, and a fire post. According to him, these facilities are essential to creating a safe and enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

Speaking on behalf of the contractor, Hope Clinton, appealed to residents and local authorities to offer the necessary support to ensure the timely completion of the project, possibly ahead of schedule.

The Chief of Gomoa Achease, Nana Okatakyi Oklu Mensa, commended the President for honoring his promise and initiating a project that is expected to transform the local economy.
