President Mahama Mourns the Passing of Music Legend Daddy Lumba

President John Dramani Mahama has expressed deep sorrow following the death of renowned Ghanaian highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.

In a solemn tribute, President Mahama described Lumba as a legendary figure whose musical brilliance provided the soundtrack to the lives of countless Ghanaians. “Lumba’s unmatched musical genius carried us through various phases of life,” he said, adding that though the beats of his memorable songs may have faded, his enduring legacy will echo through the ages.

“On behalf of the Government of Ghana, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones for this irreplaceable loss,” the former president stated.

Daddy Lumba, whose illustrious career spanned more than three decades, is widely celebrated for his impact on Ghana’s music industry and his pioneering role in modern highlife music.
