One Dead, Six Critically Injured in Gomoa Fetteh Beach Road Crashes

A 23-year-old man has died and six others are in critical condition following multiple accidents on Easter Monday evening along the road leading to Gomoa Fetteh Beach in the Gomoa East District of Ghana’s Central Region.

The fatal crash occurred in front of Hope Village Hospital, where a motorcycle collided with a Urvan trotro with registration number GN 4754-19. According to the trotro driver, Seth Kpeye, he was returning from the beach when the motorcycle, carrying two people, reportedly lost control and slammed into his vehicle.

In a separate but related incident along the same stretch, six passengers in the trotro sustained serious injuries as they headed to the beach. Police responded quickly to the scene and assisted in moving the injured to nearby health facilities for treatment.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while the case has been reported to the Gomoa Fetteh Police Station for investigation.
