NSA distances National Service Personnel from CLOGSAG strike

The National Service Authority (NSA) has directed all National Service Personnel (NSP) posted to institutions under the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) to ignore the ongoing strike and remain at post.

In an immediate release signed by Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority clarified that National Service Personnel serving in CLOGSAG institutions are not members of the Association and are therefore not covered by its industrial action. The statement follows the commencement of an indefinite nationwide strike by CLOGSAG over concerns about conditions of service in the civil and local government services.

The National Service Authority noted that the strike has affected operations in some institutions where service personnel are deployed, but stressed that Authority must continue to report to their duty posts and carry out all assigned tasks as expected. Management urged all affected personnel to stay committed to their national duty and support the institutions to which they have been assigned.

The Authority expressed appreciation for what it described as the continued cooperation and dedication of National Service Personnel in contributing to national development, and encouraged them not to abandon their posts despite the disruptions caused by the CLOGSAG action.
