No Arrests Made Yet Over Accra Central Police Barracks Fire – Police

The Accra Regional Police Command has clarified that no arrests have been made in connection with the fire outbreak at the Accra Central Police Barracks, contrary to earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

In a press release issued on June 4, 2026, the Command stated that investigations into the incident are still ongoing and no suspects have been apprehended at this stage.

The Police also disclosed that a fire officer who sustained injuries while responding to the blaze is currently receiving treatment at the Police Hospital and is in stable condition.

According to the statement, there have been no reported fatalities from the incident. Authorities added that the cause of the fire is yet to be established.

The Command commended the efforts of personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and all officers involved in managing the emergency, noting that their swift response helped contain the situation and ensure safety at the scene.

The Police assured the public that updates on the investigation and any further developments will be communicated in due course.
