Several people have been injured following a serious three-vehicle collision on the Techiman–Kumasi highway at Tadieso, near the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Techiman Distance Learning Centre junction.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning at about 10:00 a.m. during heavy rainfall and involved a Kia Picanto taxi (GS 3644-19), a Toyota Corolla saloon car (GT 4164-20), and a tipper truck (GS 1139-25), all travelling toward Kumasi.
Eyewitnesses say the taxi had just dropped off students at the UEW learning centre and was returning when the crash occurred. The tipper truck was en route from Techiman to Kumasi, while the Toyota Corolla was also heading in the same direction at the time of the collision.

Although no fatalities have been recorded, several occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
Police have since cordoned off the area to manage traffic and prevent congestion along the busy stretch, while investigations are underway to establish the cause of the crash.
The incident has renewed concerns about road safety, particularly during adverse weather conditions, with authorities urging motorists to exercise caution.
