
President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in seven new Supreme Court justices at the Jubilee House, bolstering the apex court’s capacity to handle complex cases.

The newly appointed justices, all seasoned judges from the Court of Appeal, bring extensive legal experience to the bench. They include:
- Justice Senyo Dzamefe
- Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei
- Justice Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh
- Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo
- Justice Philip Bright Mensah
- Justice Janapare Bartels-Kodwo
- Justice Hafisata Amaleboba
In his address, President Mahama emphasized the judiciary’s critical role in upholding democracy and the rule of law, urging the new justices to uphold integrity, fairness, and impartiality.
The appointments follow thorough vetting and approval by Parliament’s Appointments Committee, in accordance with Article 144 of the 1992 Constitution.
