“On 21st July 2025, the victim was traveling along the Tamale–Buipe highway when six armed men attacked him, seizing personal belongings including mobile phones, cash, wristwatches, reading glasses, laptops, and other valuables,” COP Donkor explained.

She also revealed that in a separate intelligence-driven operation, five suspects linked to another armed robbery in Nkasei, Ahafo Region, were arrested on January 16, 2026.

The suspects in this case; Muta Kofi, Mahamadu Sajoe (alias Salifu), Shaibu Issah, Abdul Suleman, and Bukari Sule (alias Taylor), were implicated in a robbery on December 2, 2025, when a group of armed men blocked the Goaso–Tepa road.
