GES interdicts Bole SHS teacher over alleged sexual misconduct with student

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted a teacher of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a student.

In a statement issued on June 16, 2026, signed by the Head of Public Relations at GES, Daniel Fenyi, GES said it had become aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media, which allegedly depicts inappropriate conduct between the teacher and the student.

According to the statement, management has commenced investigations into the matter and, pending the outcome, has directed that the teacher be interdicted in line with GES rules and regulations.

The Service strongly condemned all forms of amorous relationships between teachers and students, reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on sexual misconduct within educational institutions.

GES further cautioned all staff members to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.

The statement emphasized the Service’s commitment to ensuring the safety, protection and well-being of students across the country, noting that appropriate disciplinary and legal action would be taken against any individual found culpable.

Management assured the public that the issue is being treated with the utmost seriousness and indicated that further updates may be provided as investigations progress.
