The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has announced the full settlement of its 2026 Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) bond obligations after disbursing GH¢2.306 billion to affected bondholders.
The latest payment of GH¢2,306,202,372.09 follows a GH¢376.33 million coupon payment made in March 2026, bringing COCOBOD’s total payments to DDEP bondholders this year to GH¢2.683 billion.
COCOBOD also fulfilled its obligations to non-participating investors, paying GH¢162 million in July 2026 to fully settle all outstanding Cocoa Bills.
According to a statement from the Board’s Public Affairs Department, the payments form part of broader measures to strengthen financial sustainability in Ghana’s cocoa sector, under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance.
