Awutu Senya East MP Condoles with Family of 28-Year-Old Woman Found Dead

The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Phylis Naa Koryoo Okunor, together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Seth Sewornu Banini, and personnel from the Central East Police Command, has visited the family of 28-year-old Monica Mawuse Bosso, who died in circumstances under investigation.

Bosso was reportedly found on the family compound kneeling beneath a mango tree with a rope around her neck, tied to a low branch. According to preliminary findings cited by the Central East Regional Police Command, investigators suspect that she may have been sexually assaulted by multiple persons before her body was allegedly moved and positioned at the scene to make the death appear to be a suicide. The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation.

During the visit, the Awutu Senya East MP expressed her condolences to the bereaved family and described the circumstances surrounding the death as deeply distressing. She said it was particularly unfortunate that a family already mourning the loss of a loved one had to endure the additional trauma surrounding the case.

Naa Koryoo Okunor urged the family to remain calm and have confidence in the Ghana Police Service to conduct a thorough investigation. She expressed hope that the investigation would lead to the identification and prosecution of anyone found responsible for the death. The MP also assured the family of her support as they navigate the difficult period.
