
A man believed to be in his 40s has been arrested at the Gomoa Dominase Onion Market following the alleged killing of 50-year-old Habiba at Gomoa Potsin in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region. The tragic incident has left the community in mourning, with residents demanding justice for the deceased woman.
Eyewitnesses reported that Habiba was on her way to purchase cow milk for sale when the suspect encountered her on a bushy road. According to accounts, he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her while she was on a phone call with her son. When she resisted, she was reportedly killed.
The Chief Imam of Gomoa Ojobi, Kasim Iddrisu, confirmed that the police have taken custody of the suspect and conveyed Habiba’s remains for further investigation. He described the incident as shocking, noting that the community has never experienced such a heinous act before.
