Thomas Partey Granted Conditional Bail After Court Appearance in London

London, UK – Ghanaian international and former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail following his appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.

Partey faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, stemming from allegations made by three different women relating to incidents said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022.

During the court proceedings, Partey confirmed his identity and acknowledged the bail terms. His legal team has consistently denied all allegations, maintaining his innocence.

Under the conditions of his bail, Partey is prohibited from contacting any of the complainants and must inform police of any permanent change of residence or international travel. However, the court did not place any restrictions on his professional football career, allowing him to continue playing either in England or abroad while the case is ongoing.

Partey is scheduled to reappear before the Old Bailey on September 2.

The midfielder, who recently signed with Spanish La Liga side Villarreal, is expected to be officially unveiled by the club in the coming days.
