The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it received an additional GH₵35,000,000 on December 25, 2024, from the Ministry of Education. This funding will facilitate the completion of scanning objective answer cards and finalize the processing of results for the 2024 WASSCE School Candidates.
With this influx of funds, WAEC is working diligently to ensure the results are released by the end of December. However, the Council is still awaiting the outstanding balance from the Ministry of Education to settle payments with Supervisors, Invigilators, script checkers, and suppliers of examination materials.
WAEC wishes its stakeholders a joyous season and reaffirms its commitment to fulfilling its mandate despite the challenges faced.
