Bono East Regional Minister, Francis Owusu Antwi, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens, particularly traders, following a recent fire outbreak in the region. During his visit to the Techiman Market on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, he unveiled plans to station a fire tender at the market center, significantly enhancing the region’s firefighting capabilities.
In addition to bolstering firefighting resources, Minister Owusu Antwi aims to boost security levels to deter potential future occurrences. This comprehensive approach demonstrates his dedication to preventing similar incidents and mitigating their impact.

Furthermore, the minister has assured his readiness to work tirelessly to improve the region’s prospects, urging residents to rally behind him to make Bono East one of Ghana’s most developed regions.
Bono East Regional Fire Commander ACFO II Rev. Noami Adubea Sarpong emphasized the importance of preventive measures, advising market women to avoid activities that could prompt fires. Traders expressed gratitude for the minister’s support and urged him to provide assistance to help them recover from their losses.
