
President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his tireless dedication to Ghana’s safety and security. At the swearing-in ceremony of the new IGP, COP Christian Tetteh Yohunu, President Mahama praised Dr. Dampare’s remarkable contributions to law enforcement and national security, saying:
“Let me take this opportunity to also extend my deepest gratitude to the outgoing IGP. He has served our nation with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to law enforcement and national security will not be forgotten.”

President Mahama also commended Dr. Dampare’s unwavering commitment to ensuring citizens’ safety and security. He wished Dr. Dampare well in his future endeavors, acknowledging the significant impact of his leadership on the police service:
