
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is devastated by the tragic loss of eight individuals who perished in a military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
In an official statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP expressed profound sorrow over the deaths, describing the incident as a “devastating blow” not only to the families involved but to the entire nation.
“No words can truly capture the anguish of this moment. We pray that the Almighty God grants the bereaved families comfort and strength during this excruciatingly difficult period,” the statement read.
The party called for a “thorough, transparent, and swift investigation” into the cause of the crash, emphasizing that the dignity of the lives lost demands clear answers and accountability to prevent future tragedies.

In concluding, the NPP urged Ghanaians to unite in prayer and compassion during this national period of mourning, offering solidarity to the grieving families and honoring the memory of the fallen.
