NDC Hails Late Samuel Sarpong as ‘Pillar of Integrity and Unifier’ at State Burial

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has paid glowing tribute to its late National Vice Chairman, Samuel Sarpong, who perished alongside seven others in the tragic military helicopter crash at Asikaman in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking during the state burial on August 15, NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey described Mr. Sarpong as “a pillar of integrity, a man of the struggle, and a unifier.” He praised the late vice chairman for his unwavering commitment to the principles of service above self, noting that he carried out his duties with dignity, discipline, and steadfast loyalty to the party.

According to Mr. Kwetey, Samuel Sarpong’s leadership style was marked by mutual respect, extending courtesy and fairness to all, regardless of their political affiliation. He stressed that the late party stalwart’s legacy will continue to inspire both the NDC and the nation at large.

The solemn ceremony, attended by political leaders, military officials, and family members, marked the final farewell to a man widely regarded as a dedicated servant of his party and country.
