A 25-year-old Fetish Priest has allegedly killed his girlfriend, removed body parts to serve his gods at Awutu Bentum near Bontrase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.
According to eyewitnesses farmers sense an awful stench on their way to farm, prompting them to suspect he has something to do with the unbearable stench; however, he denied it. Residents quickly reported the issue to the police upon the arrival of the police they discovered a body had been buried in a bush near the community.
The police, together with residents exhumed the body only to find the body of the girlfriend of the fetish priest who is believed to be in her early 20s with her reproductive organs, breasts removed, and head chopped off. Residents alleged that Hlorlary Cudjoe, the Fetish Priest killed his girlfriend to serve his gods.
The unpleasant development has led residents to set the house of the Fetish Priest ablaze. Residents have handed the Fetish Priest to the Jei- Krodua District Police Command and are currently assisting police with investigation.
