Businessman and Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has begun his Upper West Regional Unity Tour as part of his campaign ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries slated for January 31, 2026.
Addressing party delegates and supporters in the Wa West constituency, Mr. Agyapong urged them to rally behind his bid to become the NPP’s flagbearer, emphasizing that his leadership would reposition the party to win the 2028 general elections.
He pledged to prioritize job creation, industrialization, and agricultural modernization when elected president, noting that his administration would invest heavily in factories, infrastructure, and advanced farming technologies to improve livelihoods across the country.
According to him, Ghana’s economic transformation depends on empowering local industries and farmers, and he believes his experience as a businessman positions him to deliver on these promises.
The Upper West tour forms part of his broader outreach to party delegates nationwide, aimed at promoting unity and strengthening the NPP’s base ahead of the crucial 2026 primaries.
