Nursing trainees are receiving a six-month allowance as President John Dramani Mahama fulfills a campaign promise. Specifically, the Ministry of Health has confirmed the disbursement of GHC 462 million to support training allowances for 120,000 nursing students nationwide.
This payment is part of a broader government initiative to provide financial support to students in Nurses Training Colleges. Consequently, the Ministry considers this a significant step in improving nursing trainees’ welfare and sustaining future health professionals’ motivation.
