A violent clash between students of Christian Methodist Senior High School and some youth from the community has resulted in the arrest of six students. The incident occurred on two consecutive days, Thursday and Friday.
According to eyewitnesses, the conflict began when a group of students assaulted a fellow student over an alleged phone theft. The victim sought refuge at a mini-mart, where some community youth intervened. However, the students insisted on continuing the assault, leading to a serious exchange of stones and sticks between the students and the youth.

On Thursday, one community member was stabbed in the face, while on Friday, both groups were seen wielding scissors and machetes. The youth captured some students and confiscated their phones.
Community leaders have expressed concerns about the students’ behavior over the years, citing incidents of physical assault on teachers.
Some youth narrated the incident to the media, highlighting the escalating violence.

In the aftermath of the clash, some parents arrived at the school to take their children home, while others were escorted by police to the roadside to board vehicles home.
The police have urged calm and are investigating the incident. The school authorities have also launched an internal inquiry into the matter.
